  • When do I become a licensed CompEx training provider?

    Training providers are licenced once all stages in the application process have been successfully completed and the appropriate personnel, facilities and processes are in place.  Please see the training provider application process.

  • How long does it take to become a licensed CompEx training provider?

    The length of the application process varies for each training provider and is dependent on the individual circumstances and experience of the training provider applying for the licence. 

  • What CompEx qualifications can I deliver?

    There are no restrictions on what qualifications a training provider can deliver, providing the application process has been successfully completed and a license for delivery of the required qualification has been granted.  Please see the qualification page for full details on all the qualifications we offer.

  • How many CompEx qualifications can I deliver as a training provider?

    There is no limit on the number of CompEx qualifications an individual training provider can deliver, but the onus is on the training provider to ensure staff to candidate ratios are managed effectively.  CompEx advises that the assessor to candidate ratio should be no more than ten candidates to one assessor (10:1).

  • Is there a minimum number of qualifications a licensed training provider must deliver annually?

    There is not a minimum number on qualifications that a licensed CompEx training provider must deliver annually.

  • Is there a minimum number of candidates a licensed training provider must deliver courses to annually?

    There is not a minimum number of candidates that a licensed CompEx training provider must deliver qualifications to annually.

  • I am currently a licensed CompEx training provider, can I add new centres?

    To license additional centres, a full new application must be submitted.  Please see the training provider application process.

  • I am currently a licensed CompEx training provider and would like to offer other CompEx qualifications.

    Training providers can apply to add further qualifications to their offering.  It is the training provider’s responsibility to ensure that CompEx qualified instructors and assessors are employed to deliver CompEx qualifications.  Please see the training provider application process.

  • Do I need qualified CompEx instructors to deliver CompEx qualifications?

    Yes, qualified CompEx instructors are required to deliver CompEx qualifications.

  • Do I need qualified CompEx assessors to assess CompEx practical assessments?

    Yes, qualified CompEx assessors are required to assess CompEx practical assessments.

  • How does CompEx ensure scheme delivery quality remains high with newly qualified centres?

    CompEx undertakes inspection visits to licenced CompEx training providers.  Visits are determined by the CompEx risk assessment register to ensure that training providers operate in line with the required scheme standards.  CompEx also conducts witnessed instruction/assessment visits to observe training provider instruction delivery and assessment, ensuring quality remains high and in accordance with the scheme requirements.
