CompEx appoints new Assessment Design Manager

CompEx is pleased to welcome our new Assessment Design Manager (ADM), Zac Cheek, who will be responsible for the development of relevant, valid and fit for purpose competency schemes for the future needs of industry.

Working closely with our Subject Matter Experts, Zac will also be developing the assessment strategy and content for the CompEx Certification Scheme.

Having worked for several years as a secondary school teacher, Zac then moved into the qualifications sectors which included working for large organisations such as Pearson, overseeing various UK and International qualifications.

Zac comments: “Assessment design has been a key focus throughout my career notably around the creation of new qualifications and reviewing existing assessment strategies. I also have experience of creating end point assessments for apprenticeship standards and the quality assurance process for qualification and assessment, creation and delivery.

“Most recently, I was head of qualifications for a large charity and led my team through several qualification and assessment reviews, including the creation of the awarding organisation processes to ensure they met the regulatory requirements. My previous experience has only served to sharpen my focus and I am now really looking forward to my new role as ADM at CompEx.”

Huw Bement, Director of CompEx, said: “It’s a strange time to start a new job during the pandemic, however, Zac is a natural fit for the business and a smart and adaptable individual who I’m confident will rise to the challenge. We’re really pleased to have Zac join our team and we wish him a bright future at CompEx.”
